Download and print

No signup is required. The PDF includes a reference and blank grid.

Print on US Letter paper and select “fit to page” if needed for your printer margins. Keep the same scaling on both sheets for grid activities.

How to use the page

  1. Print both PDF sheets: the character reference and the blank worksheet.
  2. Match the letter-and-number labels between the grids.
  3. Copy the marks in corresponding squares until the whole picture joins together.

Look at the character details

Use the matching squares to align the tall head, narrow limbs, and held object. The small details are easier to locate after the larger outlines are in place.

Choose the right art task

This two-page grid drawing activity breaks the reference into small visual areas. Draw by Grid carries ages 5+ guidance. Use the same printer scaling for the reference and blank worksheet. The child draws the character rather than tracing over it.

An optional October art idea

Once the main picture is finished, choose a name or imagine where the character belongs. On separate paper, add a small setting or design an accessory. These ideas extend the session; the download remains the original book sample shown in the preview.

Print another blank grid for a new attempt.
